Call for Participation - All Ideas are Welcome
INTERFAITH EARTH NETWORK
CELEBRATE THE POWER OF BRIDGING FAITH AND ECOLOGY
URBAN ECOLOGY CENTER
OCTOBER 24, 2010 - 1:00-4:00 P.M.

Dear Faith Friends: We look forward to hearing about your congregation's vision for bridging faith and ecology. Please describe briefly your efforts under any of the categories below that you would consider sharing at our celebration. Include how you would showcase your endeavors: performance (5 min. max), printed distribution, display, demonstration, interactive participation, art work, video or other imaginative method. It's OK if you don't have the details worked out yet. All ideas are welcome.

Worship and Celebrations : liturgies, music (vocal, choral, instrumental), prayers, poems, sermon/homily highlights, drama skits, dance, storytelling, readings, etc.


Environmental Education : all teaching methods for children, youth, adults.


Sustainable Living : food selection and preparation, cleaning and groundskeeping, building and utility modifications, water conservation and management, etc.


Environmental Justice/Advocacy : service projects, out-reach, media awareness (such as op eds, letter writing, PSAs); multi-cultural or socio-economic programs to develop sustainability and community, engaging involvement & awareness to care for the earth.


Integrated Eco-Faith Themes : a chosen eco-faith topic and how it is being woven into all aspects of your congregation (e.g., Earth-friendly Food: selecting local food for worship gatherings, promoting victory gardens for offerings to local food pantries, etc.).


Other Visions : any other activity or sharing that bridges ecology with faith.
