Today, the emerging field of EcoPsychology is applying "nature interaction" to the modern practices of self-help, education, counseling and spiritual development. Philip Chard is a recognized leader in this field, having written one of the first books ("The Healing Earth," 1994) to apply the principles of what he calls "Nature's Way" to personal and spiritual development. This experiential workshop (indoors and out-of-doors) will provide participants with a hands-on immersion in the ideas and methods of Nature's Way. We will explore how interaction with nature can help people
Philip Chard is a psychotherapist, book author, newspaper columnist and nationally acclaimed speaker. He writes an award-winning weekly column, called "Out of My Mind"," that appears in the MILWAUKEE JOURNAL SENTINEL, and he is the author of The Healing Earth, a groundbreaking work in eco-psychology that received the 1995 Midwest Publishers Award. He is a contributing writer to Chicken Soup for the Woman's Soul and has appeared as a guest expert on ABC Television's 20/20. He is an accomplished wilderness backpacker, Great Lakes sailor and nature photographer.
