About the Interfaith Earth Network
Mission Statement:
The Interfaith Earth Network bridges ecology and faith. We challenge our communities to reflect upon care of the Earth and We encourage people of diverse cultural, economic and faith perspectives To live, work, pray and worship in environmentally sustainable ways.
Our Core Values and Vision:
Eco-spirituality: Congregations of all religious traditions are connected with each other through their belief in care for the Earth…
Interfaith Friendship: Individuals have friends from different faith groups and bring awareness to each other of different traditions and rituals…
Congregational Mentoring:
Congregations keep in touch with each other, regarding their successes as well as the obstacles they face, creating natural mentoring relationships as everyone continues to learn how to best worship, work, play in environmentally sustainable ways…
Eco-Service:
Young people, children, and adults find opportunities to work side by side in ecology-related community service work, so that green habits are learned and passed on to others…
Advocacy: The voice of all religious congregations are heard together in one united proclamation on local green issues that need political support …
Mutual Support: Parents, families, religious leaders, teenagers, young adults, environmental organizations, and all people, feel supported and informed as they seek to find ways to live greener lives and spread the message to others about the urgency of sustainable living and eco-spirituality…
