Our Priorities for 2008-2010

#1. Networking
We will be building relationships among all members with:
•    events with specific networking opportunities
•    user-friendly website and emails about each other’s events.

#2. Green Resumes/ Showcase of Progress
We will be contacting all of our members, including Green Partners and Congregations in order to:
•    Document the changes in awareness, attitudes and behavior
•    Showcase  expertise and accomplishments  on our website
•    More formally recognize the Green accomplishments of exemplary congregations
•    Allow all congregations to look to other congregations and to our Green Partners for assistance, ideas, and mentoring.

#3. Better Web Communication
We will be updating our website and email system so that:
•    All members can keep in touch more easily with each other
•    All members can update their own entry of information.
•    All members can post information about their own upcoming events.

#4. Follow-up to “And God Said it was Good,” held at Marquette University on Oct. 17-18
We will be connecting participants from that conference in order to:
•    Provide opportunities to discuss information and insights from the conference
•    Join the Network, get involved in faith-and-ecology service, take the lead in greening their congregations, and perhaps joining one of the Interfaith Earth Network committees

#5. Workshops that continue to Bridge Faith and Ecology
We will continue to hold workshops at the Urban Ecology Center and/or  local congregation(s) to:
•    Educate ourselves about sustainability, especially local issues
•    Bridge ecology and spirituality in one or several faith traditions
•    Build relationships, compare ideas, motivate each other, and get feedback from membership regarding additional Green Partners, events, ideas, connections, etc.

#6. Service Project Days
We will encourage service work by:
•    Providing  dates/programs for ecology-related community service work
•    Add spiritual reflection, faith sharing and community building to other existing programs

#7. Advocacy for Local Issues
We will improve our advocacy opportunities by:
•    Connecting the Network  with environmental organizations who do legislative alerts
•    Organize or join a dialog with local legislators about local issues of interest

#8. Youth Programming
We will Organize and implement  1-2 youth events from several congregations as a fun way to explore environmental concerns, spirituality, and opportunities for community eco-service.
