From Tony Ends at Churches' Center for Land and People
Winter Farmers Markets and Meals for Hope benefit sales are being scheduled for January, February and March of this season. All faith communities and the public interested in hosting such an event in a parish or fellowship hall are invited to attend any of these events this season as a demonstration. Event details are being posted to www.cclpmidwest.org as they are confirmed. These markets and meals of local and regional food promote local farmer-consumer relationships; ecological practices and a reduced carbon footprint from food and farming systems; and greater food security for all people. They are also a benefit for farm crisis funding. Contact Tony Ends at Churches' Center for Land and People, 419 E. Court St., Janesville, WI 53545; 608 897-4288 or 754-1877;
